How to Prepare a Baby Products Wholesale Enquiry

A practical checklist for distributors and brands: model references, quantities, destination, packaging, customization and sourcing requirements.

A useful wholesale enquiry connects the products you want with the way you plan to buy them. For distributors and growing brands, a clear brief helps separate an existing catalog order from branding work, new product development or a mixed-category purchase.

1. Identify the product and configuration

Start with the catalog reference and model number. If you are comparing several products, list each model separately and attach the matching reference image. For baby walkers and activity centers, check which functions and accessories belong to the selected configuration. A similar-looking picture does not establish that two models have the same specification.

2. Give an estimated quantity for each model

Share the quantity you are considering for each model and, where relevant, each color. Indicate whether this is a first order, a sample enquiry or planned repeat purchasing. Quantities, minimums, availability and pricing need confirmation for the actual selection. If your quantity is still uncertain, provide a range and explain your purchasing plan.

3. State the destination and packaging requirements

Include the destination country and your intended delivery location or port if known. Note any requirements for carton markings, language, labels, manuals or retail packaging. Ask for the product and carton information needed to compare offers, such as carton dimensions, pieces per carton and gross weight. Request the applicable documents for your selected model and market rather than assuming a company-level statement covers every product.

4. Choose the support you need

  • Catalog purchasing: choose existing models and confirm the configuration, quantity and packing.
  • Brand customization: describe requested colors, logo placement and packaging changes. Share the relevant brand files when available.
  • New product development: provide reference images or drawings, intended functions and the scope you want reviewed.
  • Multi-category sourcing: send one list with the category, reference, estimated quantity and priority for each item.

Customization options, feasibility, samples, costs and timing are reviewed for each project. Explore design and customization or multi-category sourcing to choose the relevant route.

5. Explain your schedule and open questions

State your requested order or delivery timing and whether it is flexible. List questions about samples, configurations, packing or documents before treating any item as agreed. A requested deadline is part of the brief; the confirmed schedule belongs in the quotation and order confirmation.

A short enquiry checklist

  • Company and purchasing contact.
  • Destination country and delivery location if known.
  • Model references or product categories.
  • Estimated quantities by model and color.
  • Catalog purchasing, customization or sourcing support required.
  • Packaging, documentation and timing requirements.

Browse the product catalog, then send your enquiry to Lemoon. Mark anything that is still undecided so the next discussion can focus on those details.
